Undeniably, many await the actions of the government for the ABS-CBN employees who will be retrenched. Based on a report on Pep, Malacañang has broken its silence and stressed a one-stop-shop will be opened.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, he has already talked with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello. Based on the report, the Labor Department will put up a one-stop-shop, a job fair, and a job referral system.

The Malacañang spokesman expressed that the said one-stop-shop is for the ABS-CBN employees who will be retrenched and those in the National Capital Region (NCR) who are looking for work opportunities.

Roque also cited that employees of the Kapamilya network who will be retrenched may also apply for a loan to the Social Security System (SSS) or Pag-IBIG Fund. He stressed that it is aside from the loan offer of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA).
