Winwyn Marquez Explains Appearance In New iWant Series
WINWYN MARQUEZ – GMA-7 star Winwyn Marquez explained her appearance in this Kapamilya project.
Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez won the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas title during the Miss World Philippines 2017 pageant. She’s the daughter of veteran actors Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez.
The 28-year-old actress is one of the leading actresses of the new iWant series “Beauty Queens” directed by Joel Lamangan. The show is led by a cast of real-life beauty queens.
Apart from Winwyn Marquez, the show also stars Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina. The show which also stars Ross Pesigan, Maris Racal, and Lotlot de Leon, starts streaming on July 15. She was interviewed by PEP on Monday, July 13, she explained her appearance in this Kapamilya project.
“I do have a TV contract with GMA, and I’m very fortunate na pinayagan nila akong gawin itong project na ito. Kasi iyong manager ko, si Arnold Vegafria, nag-usap naman sila nang maayos, and wala din naman conflict with GMA, any show with GMA…”
“So at least, napag-usapan nang maayos, wala naming na-bypass, iyon naman ang importante, diba? Then okay naman!” she added.

Winwyn Marquez said she was grateful that she was able to work with artists from their rival network. She said the Kapamilya network’s production staff gave her a warm welcome.
“Happy kasi I get to work with other artists, I get to work with the staff na taga-ABS. Ang saya lang kasi they didn’t treat me differently. They were really kind, sobrang warm nila sa pag-welcome sa akin,” she said.

The beauty queen’s next project with GMA is the tv series “Owe My Love,” starring Aiai Delas Alas, Lovi Poe, and Benjamin Alves. She’s also busy with her program “Glow Up.”
