Inquirer claimed it has acquired an audio recording of the speech of Duterte in Sulu
President Rodrigo Duterte allegedly admitted in his speech in Sulu that he dismantled the ABS-CBN oligarchs as Inquirer stated that it has acquired the 40-minute audio recording.
When state-run PTV-4 aired the speech of the Chief Executive on Tuesday, he has mentioned about oligarchy that he was able to destroy without even declaring Martial Law. This came less than a week after the Congress junked the franchise application of the TV giant.
Many people were fast to conclude that he was referring to ABS-CBN as he already attacked the network in his past speeches. However, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque denied that the Chief Executive was talking about the Lopezes, the family who owns the media company.
The Malacanang previously stated that it has remained neutral regarding the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
Roque stressed that the President was talking about Lucio Tan, Manny Pangilinan, and the Ayala clan. However, supporters of the Kapamilya network would not believe the clarification from the Presidential Spokesperson.
Their conviction that Pres. Duterte was really talking about the Lopezes even hyped up when Inquirer published an article stating that it was able to acquire the audio recording of the entire speech of the Chief Executive.
Based on the report, the president had his tirade against the TV giant. Reportedly, that was right after he mentioned his grievances against Ayala-owned Manila Water and the Manny Pangilinan-led Maynilad. The President allegedly accused these wealthy clans of milking the Filipinos people for many years.
Then, Pres. Duterte mentioned the ABS-CBN. Reportedly, he said this:
“’Yun namang ABS-CBN binaboy ako. Pero sinabi ko kapag ako nanalo, bubuwagin ko ang oligarchy ng Pilipinas. Ginawa ko. Without declaring martial law, sinira ko yung mga tao na humahawak sa ekonomiya at umiipit sa tao at hindi nagbabayad. They take advantage, sa kanila political power.”
