Reaction of Frankie Pangilinan on Arrest of Journalist Howie Severino
FRANKIE PANGILINAN – The daughter of the Megastar reacted to the arrest of journalist Howie Severino for face mask violation.
The wearing of a face mask now is one of the protocols under the new normal. It is implemented amid the COVID-19 pandemic that is putting a lot of lives at risk now.
The entire Philippines is still under a community quarantine. Cebu City is back on Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for recording the highest cases while Metro Manila and several other areas are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) now.
Most areas in the country are under a Modified GCQ now. Several provinces, cities, and municipalities have released penalties for those who will go against the protocols set to curb the spread of COVID-19.

On June 8, a lot of people were surprised by the arrest of GMA-7 broadcast journalist Howie Severino. He was brought by the authorities after they found him not wearing his face mask as he sat in a store to drink.
According to the journalist, he was biking for an hour so he decided to stop by a store and have a drink along Mother Ignacia in Quezon City. The QC law enforcers caught him and brought him to Amoranto Stadium Diliman. It is where those who were arrested over face mask violations are brought to attend a seminar.
Howie Severino is a COVID-19 survivor. He volunteered to speak but he was just allowed to leave by the government employees.
The arrest of Howie Severino over a face mask violation caught the attention of some celebrities. One of those who reacted is Frankie Pangilinan.
