Former Rep. Rolando Andaya Confirms Camarines Sur Representative Marissa Andaya Died

CAMARINES SUR REPRESENTATIVE – Former Representative Rolando Andaya confirmed that his wife, Marissa Andaya, died.

Cancer is one of the hardest diseases to treat. It has several types and, usually, the chances of recovery and treatment for the patient depends on the time it was diagnosed.

There are these type of diseases which are usually diagnosed late while there are those that show symptoms early. There are different kinds of treatment and one may not be effective to all.

A lot of people have lost their lives to this kind of disease. There are also those who survived the battle. It can be gone but there is also a chance it can come back thus regular check-up is needed.

Camarines Sur Representative Marissa Andaya

Recently, another public servant lost her life to cancer. Camarines Sur Representative Marissa Andaya died after her disease came back. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the death of the 1st District Representative was confirmed by her husband, former Rep. Rolando Andaya.

According to Rolando, his wife whom he tagged as his best friend “passed on to life eternal”. She battled against the disease for seven (7) years but she has always remained positive based on the report.

The Camarines Sur Representative’s husband further said that his wife has remained “cheerful” amid the battle. She has kept the spirits of her family up and she has played her role as the “anchor of the family”.

Former Rep. Rolando Andaya said that it was only in the first week of June when they knew her cancer has returned. She went back to Manila for her check-up then. He is asking their friends to give them space to grieve for their loss in private.

Meanwhile, Rolando assured they will be posting the funeral details soon. Condolences to the Andaya family.
