Americans Not Allowed In Europe Starting July 1

AMERICANS NOT ALLOWED IN EUROPE – The European Union revealed the list of countries allowed in their continent, America wasn’t one of them.

In July 1, Europe would be opening its doors to international travel as the coronavirus begins to flatten. However, tourists coming from America would not be allowed inside the continent.

According to a report from the New York Times, the European Union announced its decision following reports of the US having 36,880 new COVID-19 cases. Currently, the US has over 2,637,0777 coronavirus cases with over 128,437 deaths.

Next in the ladder would be Brazil with 1.23 million confirmed COVID-19 infections. Afterward, Russia takes third place with around 620,000 reported COVID-19 cases. Likewise, Brazil and Russia are also not included in Europe’s list.

As per the article, the full list of countries include:

  • Algeria
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Georgia
  • Japan
  • Montenegro
  • Morocco
  • New Zealand
  • Rwanda
  • Serbia
  • South Korea
  • Thailand
  • Tunisia
  • Uruguay
  • Andorra
  • San Marino
  • Monaco
  • Vatican

Along with these countries, China would also be allowed entry if they open borders to European Union travelers. Meanwhile, the criteria for allowing entry would be countries having a “comparable or better” COVID-19 situation as Europe.

Furthermore, even if a country does not fit the criteria, there would still be execptions to the list. These include:

  • health workers
  • diplomats
  • humanitarian workers
  • transit passengers
  • asylum seekers and students
  • “passengers traveling for imperative family reasons”
  • foreign workers whose employment in Europe is deemed essential.
