Earthquake w/ 6.4 Magnitude Records in Part of China Today

EARTHQUAKE – A 6.4 magnitude quake was recorded in a part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China today.

A quake can hardly be predicted. It is one of the natural events which may have varieties of impact. It depends on the magnitude and as well as the depth of the quake.

Quakes with lower magnitudes may not be felt at all. The shaking may be very weak that moving individuals can hardly notice the natural event. On the other side, quakes may also lead to the loss of lives and damages of properties.

In China, the quake-recording agency is the China Earthquake Networks Center. It is more commonly called as CENC.

Recently, the CENC recorded a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Xinjiang, China. Based on a report on CGTN, the quake rocked the Yutian County of Hotan Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The natural event occurred at around 5:05 in the morning Beijing time. It had a depth of ten (10) kilometers. According to the report, there are no immediate reports of fatality so far.
