Professional footballer James Younghusband announces his early retirement.
JAMES YOUNGHUSBAND – Filipino football star from Azkals James Younghusband announced his retirement on Thursday, June 25.
After the 101 times of playing for the country and hitting 12 goals, the 33-year-old football superstar James Younghusband announced his retirement from the said sports. His first game for the country was in 2005 Southeast Asian Games belonging in Under-23.
“Time to say goodbye. Thank you for the amazing memories. I have loved playing this game,” he said in his post as he bid his goodbye and thanked his family, bosses, managers, coaches, team mates, opponents, his supporters, and those who have become a part of his career.
He feels both lucky and thankful for the experience and moments. As much as we all know, he and his brother Phil Younghusband are both part of the national team and both have played integral roles for the country to be recognized in this field of sports.
To recall, his brother Phil, based on a previous article, also retired last year at the age of 32. He was dubbed as the country’s top goal scorer. He is now married and has one child.
