122-Year-Old Filipino Lola From Negros Vies For Guinness Record
FRANCISCA SUSANO – A 112-year-old Filipino Lola from Negros Occidental shows how healthy living could make you see a century’s worth of events.
Lola Francis Susano is a person who has survived two world wars and the Spanish flu. As such, she presents the testimony of what it takes to survive – a healthy lifestyle.
According to Lola Francis, the secret to her longevity was a simple nutritious diet filled with veggies and without any additives or preservatives. Luckily, her family loves farming, so, she just eats the vegetables that they grow.
Furthermore, her granddaughter, Merlene Susano explained that her Lola loved to eat laswa, an Ilonggo vegetable soup. She added that their vegetables were all-natural and grown without the use of sprays.

Lola Francesca got married at the age of 14 and had 8 children. She would also be one of the very few people who lived over a 100 years and see her eldest child reach a hundred as well.
According to an article from PEP, her eldest is now 99-years-old. Along with this, Francisca also has over 100 grandchildren even up to the fourth degree.
Also, even though Francesca has a hard time standing up, she doesn’t let that get her down. She could still hear, speak, and even bust out some vocals!
Additionally, she still plays the harmonica. Her grand daughter said she would often hear her grand ma waking up just to play the harmonica and sing.
Meanwhile, another one of her granddaughters, Helen Cachero said that their family already submitted lola Francesca into the Guiness Book of World Records.
