Kapamilya Stars Talent Fee Deduction At 50%? Is This Still Part Of Cost-Cutting?

These Kapamilya stars talent fee were accordingly deducted due to high cost in every taping and the new normal of shooting.

KAPAMILYA STARS – Reportedly, the talent of Kapamilta stars of television series were deducted due to high cost brought about by the new normal in production shoot.

In the new set of rules and regulation from the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) when it comes to production shoots, a lot has been restricted to happen. The workers to be present in set are reduced, social distancing must be implemented, rapid tests, and among others.

This is due to threats and effects of coronavirus disease 2019 and in fear of resurgence and second wave. With these, the shooting of several programs have been greatly affected especially in the financial aspect.

According to a report from PEP, the talent fee of the stars of the ABS-CBN network who resumed taping were deducted depending on the ranges for one salary can be deducted from 10 percent up to ultimately 50 percent.

In this time and through this challenge that the loyalty to the network, the passion and dedication to serve the people, and the commitment of an artist is being tested. The cost-cutting is after the production budget swelling due to the new normal.

A source from the report said, “Nagpaalam ang ABS-CBN sa Professional Artist Managers, Inc. [PAMI)] na babawasan ng up to 50 percent off ang TF ng mga artista sa teleserye, at naunawaan iyon ng karamihan sa managers. Ang wala lang bawas ay ang mga artistang P15K below ang talent fee.”
