The video footage of the heartbreaking scene inside the ABS-CBN newsroom a few hours before the Kapamilya network signs off.
The Facebook page “ANC 24/7” has shared the video footage of a heartbreaking scene inside the newsroom of ABS-CBN network before it goes off air on Tuesday (May 6, 2020). The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the employees gathered inside the newsroom as they listened to the words of ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak before the shutdown. The giant company stopped its broadcast in compliance with the order of the National Telecommunications Commission.
The workers were speechless and tried to hold the tears as they watch the network’s history. After the video clip, the employees give around of applause although they are feeling grieve due to the closure.
The health crisis also prevents the employees from hugging each other amid the sad news and painfully packed their things before leaving the building.
