Amid the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) pandemic, the robots created by Prof. Jayson Victoriano are helping the doctors and nurses in Malolos City, Bulacan. Based on a report from Cebu Daily News, the frontliners in the city will be getting an extra pair of hands in treating COVID-19 patients.
Victoriano’s “Rovidocs” will be helping COVID-19 frontliners in monitoring the health condition of the patients. It is equipped with a camera to allow the frontliners to monitor the patients.
It is programmed using a tablet. It has a thermal scanner, liquid tank for disinfection, nozzle spray, and tray of medicines.
“The robots will still be customized to get a patient’s pulse rate, blood pressure and body temperature,” he said.
