Manila Cop Face Criminal Raps for Molesting and Abusing Female Criminology Student
MANILA COP – to face criminal raps over molesting and abusing a female criminology student, National Capital Region Police Office said.
The accused police officer was identified as Police Captain Heherson Zambale, assigned at Sta. Cruz Police Station. Zambale was slapped with complaints such as molesting and induced termination of infant inside the womb of female criminology student.
According to the report of GMA News, Zambale allegedly molested the female student last March 7. The victim had initially applied for an internship, based on the report from Manila Police District Chief Police Brigadier General Rolando Miranda.
The MPD chief immediately ordered the dismiss of cop on his position and relief of his firearm. Zambale was also recalled pending a probe over the incident.
The Women and Children Protection Division is looking into the incident as the victim has formally filed a complaint against Zambale, NCRPO said. Aside from Manila cop Zamabale, complaints were also filed against his wife Aliah and two other individuals before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office on June 1.
In addition, an administrative case would also be filed against the Manila cop, according to the NCRPO. Meanwhile, all district directors and police chiefs, are ordered to stop accepting OJT requests as all OJT requests must be verified by the Regional Intelligence Division, said NCRPO Chief PM Gen Debold Sinas.
