Policeman In Pasig City Arrested For Using Seized Motorcycle

PASIG CITY – A police officer in Pasig City was recenttly arrested for using a motorcycle that was seized as evidence in a buy-bust operation.

According to Inquirer, this was a statement from Philippine National Police (PNP) Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) director Police Brigadier General Ronald Lee, who identified the cop as Corporal Esteven Mark Pandi.

Pandi was assigned with the Drug Enforcement Unit of the local city police. He was nabbed along Evangelista Street in Santolan on Wendesday.

“The suspect was caught in the act while using a motorcycle without plate number, which was owned by an arrested drug personality during an Anti-Illegal Drug Operation in Pasig City last October 04, 2019, and the said motorcycle was included in the inventory of confiscated evidence,”

Based on the report, Lee said that the cop was also caught red-handed for having back rides on his motorcycle, which is counted as a direct violation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) protocols.

Pandi is now under the coustody of PNP-IMED and will be charged for the said violation.
