Manila City Hall Employees Undergo Rapid Testing for COVID-19

MANILA CITY HALL EMPLOYEES – Twelve (12) staff of the Manila City Hall tested positive for COVID-19 rapid testing.

The Philippines is battling against an invisible enemy now – the coronavirus or COVID-19. This pandemic has affected more than 200 countries and territories across the globe.

The whole PH is under a community quarantine for several months now due to coronavirus. The high-risk areas including Manila is under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) now.

Most areas in the Philippines, the ones considered at low and medium risk for coronavirus, are under a modified GCQ now. Meanwhile, the people are advised not to go out if not for very essential purposes, to wash hands frequently, to wear mask, and to practice social distancing still.

The coronavirus cases in the Philippines are still increasing. Everyone must not be complacent most especially that a lot of people are going out now for work.

In line with the resumption of the work operations, Manila City Hall employees underwent rapid testing for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, twelve (12) of the 743 staff of the city hall tested are positive for coronavirus in rapid testing.

According to the report, four (4) of the said twelve (12) Manila City Hall employees underwent swab testing right away. Samples will also be taken from the remaining eight (8) patients.

Currently, there is a total of 960 active cases of coronavirus in the city led by Mayor Isko Moreno. As of June 3, 436 patients have already recovered from the disease.
