Lawyer of Yanson Siblings Speaks On Alleged Warrant of Arrest Issued Against Clients

YANSON SIBLINGS – Attorney Sheila Sison spoke on the alleged arrest warrant issued against her clients.

One of the issues in the province of Negros Occidental that sparked a lot of reports was the issue involving the Yanson Family. The matriarch, Olivia Yanson, and her son, Leo Rey, are not in good terms with her other children over one of their businesses – the Vallacar Transit or Ceres Bus business.

The said family issue has affected the operation of the buses in the province. Not only their employees but as well as the commuters were affected by it.

There were accusations among the Yanson family members over the income and operation of their business. Some of them even sought the assistance of the authorities to secure the safety and peace in the terminals.

The said issue that involves the Yanson family has yet to be resolved. Recently, based on a post on The Visayan Daily Star, lawyer Jerry Llena said that an arrest warrant was issued against the Yanson siblings.

Reportedly, the said members of the Yanson family covered by the warrant of arrest were Roy Yanson, Ricardo Yanson, Emily Yanson, and Ma. Lourdes Celina Lopez.

The warrant of arrest was released by Bacolod City Municipal Trial Court Judge Abraham Bayona. Bail was reportedly set at Php 36,000.00 each.

Based on the report, Atty. Sheila Sison reacted and defended her clients saying no arrest warrant was released against the Yansons. She expressed that a hearing on the motion to suspend the proceedings and to hold the release of the warrant of arrest was held last May 29.

The Yanson siblings’ lawyer added that the case is set for arraignment already. Contrary to her statement, Atty. Llena expressed that the judge did not consider the motion and the holding of the issuance of the warrant of arrest.
