Giveaway of Toyota Tundra on Social Media Websites Are Being taken Down
Several social media posts and links about the free giveaway of Toyota Tundra by the automotive manufacturer are fake and claimed to be a scam.
Recently, links are being send through social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp, where famous car manufacture, Toyota, is allegedly giving away the new Toyota Tundra for free.
According to the article of Online Threat Alerts, the giveaway is a scam. Social media users who click the links will be taken a website where they will be asked some questions and ask to share the link.
On the website, user will be asked to share the link in order to obtain and get the chance to win the free vehicle. However, the users will never get the free vehicle even if they share it many time.
Based on the article, sharing of link will only help the scammer or the head behind the scam to spread the fake news on the social media. Social media users who shared the fake new are being asked to remove or delete it.
Meanwhile, in Philippines, a netizen reached out the Toyota Facebook page saying thank you thinking that he was one of the lucky winner who will receive the new vehicle of Toyota. However, the company said Tundra is not available in the Philippines.
The company also clarified they have not posted any promotion after the netizen asked if the online post is not a legitimate ad from the said company. Social media users who want to know if the giveaway or promotion is legit or not, you can visit the main page of the company.
