Man in Bulacan Arrested by Police Over Fake IATF ID, Quarantine Pass Production
POLICE – A man in Bulacan was arrested by the authorities for making fake Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) against COVID-19 ID and quarantine pass.
Currently, the entire Philippines is under a community quarantine. It is due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the country. Limiting the movement of the public is in line with the pursuit to curb the spread of the disease.
Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cebu City are among the areas under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) now. Most areas in the country are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
Under the community quarantine are several protocols set to fight the COVID-19 outbreak. One of it is the practice of social distancing.
Also, some areas are still. practicing the use of quarantine passes so the outdoor activities of people can be limited. Only essential purposes may be allowed.
Aside from these, the wearing of face mask is now a nationwide protocol. COVID-19 can spread really fast and everyone has to be extra careful and cooperative.
However, there are still reports about people violating or supporting the violation against the measures implemented to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Based on a report on GMA News, a man in Malolos, Bulacan was recently arrested by the police authorities for making fake IATF IDs and quarantine pass. A cop pretended to be a client who wanted to avail the services of the man.
The man was identified as Roberto Sacdalan Jr. According to the report, the authorities confiscated the marked money from the suspect and as well as the materials used in making fake IATF IDs and quarantine passes.
According to the suspect, his business is legal. He asserted that he is just doing what his clients want and he is ready to face the accusations against him.
