PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (May 23)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the frontal system would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

On Saturday (May 23, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The frontal system would bring rains over some parts of the country.

PAGASA reported that the frontal system would bring cloudy weather conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Kalinga, and Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers is expected over the provinces of La Union, Pangasinan, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, and Aurora.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country are expected to experience the same weather condition.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern Luzon, Visayas and the rest of Luzon, Palawan, and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
