Murder Of Bacolod City Top Drug Suspect Probed By Police
BACOLOD CITY – The police are currently conducting a probe on the killing of the top drug personality in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The fatality, identified as Gerald Cuadra, aged 43, was shot to death by unknown assailants in front of a row of restaurants along B.S, Aquino Drive at around 2:25 PM on Satrday.
According to Panay News, BCPO Station 2 chief Major Sherlock Gabana said that they are currently retrieving a copy of the footage of the area during the incident as part of the probe.
It has been recalled that Gerald is the child of Jose Kim “Boy” Cuadra who was convicted for drug trafficking in July 2006 and is currently serving a life imprisonment at New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
Initial probe states that one of the two unidentifide assailants shot Gerald seven times as he was about to board his pick-up truck that wass parked across a private hospital.
As per the report, he was formrly arrested at his residence in May 2016. Recovered from him were suspected shabu worth at around ₱1.1 million
He posted bail for illegal possession of firearms in September and his case was then discarded by the court.
He is,by far the second high-profile drug personality that was slain while the capital city of Negros Occidental is under community quarantine.
Manuel “Maui” Huelar Jr., aged 48 and a chief of Barangay 35 was shot to death on April 16.
