Top Drug Suspect In Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Killed

BACOLOD CITY – The top drug personality in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental was recently killed by two unidentified suspects.

According to SunStar, the incident occurred at Purok Sibuyas, Barangay 5 in the capital city of Negros Occidental at around Saturday afternoon.

The fatality was identified as Gerald Cuadra, aged 43, of 24th Calamba Street, Barangay 1. He is also the son of Jose Kim “Boy” Cuadra who was a convict for drug trafficking in July 2006 and is currently serving a life imprisonment at New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

Local city Police Office (BCPO) chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico reported that Cuadra was about to board his vehicle when two unknown assailants wearing face masks shot him multiple times at around 2:25 PM.

Cuadra received multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot. The suspects fled on a motorcycle. Recovered from the crime scene were several empty shells of .45 caliber.

Involvement on illegal drugs is considered to be the possible motive of the victim’smurder.

As per the report, Cuadra’s wife is currently confined in a hospital near the said incident and his activities were possibly monitord by the gunmen.

Police from Station 2 are currently making a further probe to know the identity of the suspects.

Cuadra is also identified as a high-profile drug personality in the capital.
