COVID-19 Cases in CARAGA Includes Healthcare Worker Who Became 4th Patient in Region

HEALTHCARE WORKER – A medical worker in CARAGA tested positive for coronavirus or COVID-19 disease.

The Philippines is now on a fight against the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19 like what is happening in more than 200 other nations across the globe. This disease has claimed thousand of lives in the different nations.

In the Philippines, there is now a total of 12,091 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the country. According to the Department of Health (DOH), 806 of these patients died while 2,460 have recovered from the disease.

Currently, several areas in the Philippines are still under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) as they are in high-risk for coronavirus. The other areas in the country are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) now.

CARAGA is one of the regions in the Philippines with confirmed cases of coronavirus. Recently, the region recorded its fourth case of the disease.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a 37-year-old healthcare worker in CARAGA tested positive for COVID-19. The said woman underwent RT-PCR testing and the result returned positive for the disease.

Accordihg to DOH CARAGA Regional Director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr., the said healthcare worker who tested positive for COVID-19 is showing no signs of the disease. Based on the report, she is currently confined in a hospital and is being monitored.

Furthermore, the woman will also undergo a follow-up test for coronavirus. The other three (3) persons who also tested positive for the disease in the region have already recovered. Fifteen (15) suspected cases from the different hospitals tested negative for the disease.
