Russia Records Over 10,000 New COVID-19 Cases Daily For Several Days Now

Update on the New COVID-19 Cases in Russia Amid the Global Pandemic Now

RUSSIA – The European country is recording more than 10,000 new cases of COVID-19 daily for several days now.

Several countries are fighting an invisible enemy now – the coronavirus or COVID-19. It was last December when other countries were hearing about the “mysterious disease” that infected a lot of people in China.

Wuhan City was then locked to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In China, over 82,000 people were infected by the said disease. It has claimed at least 4,000 lives and has spread throughout the world.

Currently, more than 200 countries got confirmed cases of coronavirus. Based on a global tally of Worldometer, more than 4.4 million cases of the disease were recorded in the different countries.

Worldwide, the coronavirus disease has claimed more than 298,000 lives. With regards to the recoveries, more than 1.6 million has recovered from it.

One of the countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus is Russia. Unfortunately, for several days now, the European country is recording more than 10,000 new COVID-19 cases daily.

Based on the tally, beginning May 3, Russia records at least 10,000 new COVID-19 cases until today. The least daily record since May 3 is a total of 10,102 cases that was recorded last May 5.\

Currently, the European country is the third nation on the list based on the number of coronavirus cases. United States has the top spot after having confirmed 1,430,348 cases of the disease. It is followed by Spain with 271,095 cases.

With regards to the total coronavirus cases confirmed in Russia, it is at 242,271 cases now. According to the tally, 2,212 of these patients died while 48,003 have recovered.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the COVID-19 as a pandemic, its impact is far beyond what was expected. According to the international body, it is going to be a longterm battle against this disease.
