Jennylyn Mercado Responds To ABS-CBN Basher
JENNYLYN MERCADO – Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado defended the ABS-CBN network against bashers.
After 65 years of service, the largest media network in the Philippines went off the air after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a closure order. The company’s loyal viewers were shocked because they thought Congress has provided them a provisional franchise.
Netizens and celebrities quickly air their reaction on their social media accounts regarding the Kapamilya network’s closure. Aside from that, they also appealed to the government to reconsider because 11,000 workers just lost their livelihood amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ABS-CBN network also received support from Kapuso stars. Maine Mendoza, Gabbi Garcia, Lovi Poe, and Atom Araullo are among the GMA-7 talents who expressed support for their rival network.
“Descendants of the Sun” star Jennylyn Mercado is the latest Kapuso actress who expressed support to ABS-CBN after shutdown orders. She defended the tv network against trolls and bashers.
In her Facebook account, Jennylyn Mercado advised her followers to respect other people’s opinions since all of our opinions are valid. She reminded them that the enemy is the virus from China.
Jennylyn also responded to a basher who said she’s annoyed by ABS-CBN’s issue. The actress told her that its wrong to unnecessarily makes fun of serious issues and netizens like her are not welcome on her Facebook page.

Jennylyn replied, “pasensya na po. But you are missing the point. What if you put yourself in their position? Wag po natin gawin katawa tawa ang pinagdaraanan nila. Mali po yun.”
