Vivian Velez Wants Congress Abolished
ABS-CBN – Actress Vivian Velez called for the abolition of the Congress for granting a provisional franchise (PA) to the tv network.
The largest tv network in the Philippines, ABS-CBN went off the air after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a cease and desist order to the network. It’s loyal viewers and artists aired their frustration because of what happened to the company.
All of them were concerned about the welfare of 11,000 workers who just lost their job amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A few days after the Kapamilya network’s untimely, Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano broke his silence.

Alan Peter Cayetano vowed that he and his fellow lawmakers will “once again rise to the occasion and fix the mess others make.” Following his statements, 14 House authors signed a letter asking Cayetano to tackle ABS-CBN’s franchise bills immediately.
The representatives who signed the letter said they are being blamed for the displacement of the media network’s employees. “We understand that there are important measures that the House Leadership has to attend to in this extraordinary time. However, we believe, too, that resolving the ABS-CBN issue the soonest is equally important given the impact, economically and politically, of its continued shutdown in this time of crisis,” they said.
