PAGASA – Tropical Depression Ambo’s Extension To Affect Mindanao This May 12, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this May 12, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the trough or extension of Tropical Depression Ambo will affect Mindanao on this day.
According to GMA News, the weather disturbance will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the second largest island group of the Philippines. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Ambo’s center was last spotted at around 285 kilometers east northeast of the town of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or about 340 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte as of 3 AM on this day.
It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour with gusts of uup to 70 kilometers per hour. It is heading north northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour.
As per the report, for the wind speed forecast, Visayas, Southern Luzon, and Caraga will have moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Northern and central Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
