Teacher Personally Give Medals, Certificates in Their Homes Amid Pandemic
ISABELA – a teacher personally went to her honorable students’ homes to give the medals and certificates for Academic Year 2019-2020.
The teacher and grade 5 adviser of Anonang Elementary School, Lailane Cabading Abundio, share photos of her with her students on her social media account while holding the certificates of recognition and medals amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a report of Bombo Radyo Cauayan, because of the cancellation of the Recognition Day due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine being implemented, she was considering giving her students special recognition, she said on the interview.
Abundio also distributed worksheets along with the tokens as the Department of Education (DepEd) proposal to distribute worksheets to students including the topics that were not discussed in their class to make each day more productive while they stay at home.
She holds 29 students this year and 10 are awarded Academic awards, 13 have been awarded the conduct award and 6 unique parents have been awarded recognition as well while distributing several snacks.
She also ensured that she wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Facemask and Social Distancing maintenance when she go to their homes. The teacher aims to give simple happiness to her students especially not that they have limited opportunities to go out and play.
