Man Plays Sineskwela Theme Song Using Pencils, Bowls, Glass

SINESKWELA – The video of the talented man playing the theme song of 90s educational tv show ‘Sineskwela’ using pencils, bowls, and glass went viral on social media.

On March 17, 2020, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared the National Capital Region (NCR) under “enhanced community quarantine” to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The virus from Wuhan City, China has infected more than 2 million people across the world.

The 75-year-old chief executive extended the ECQ in NCR and other ‘high-risk’ provinces until May 15. The regions or provinces that have moderate and low-risk in the spread of the virus will be placed under “general community quarantine” (GCQ).

Recently, a Facebook user named Keith Daniel Barretto Lagunzad Jr. shared a video of himself playing the theme song of the ’90s educational tv show, “Sineskwela.” The song was written by the National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab.

The talented netizen uses two pencils, glasses, and bowls while playing the song. In the caption, he said he dedicated his performance to his older sister. The video has garnered 37K reactions, 21,548 shares, and 480 views as of this writing.
