Student Climbs Mountain to Find Signal to Send Her School Requirements
MASBATE – A female student in Burias Island, Masbate climbs to the mountain to find signal just to submit her academic requirements.
Due to the health risks of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and existing enhanced community quarantine, many classes have been canceled. Other schools have continued their classes through online until the end of this school year.
Meanwhile, in a video uploaded by GMA News, Franz Berdida, even though it is dark and gloomy, she climbs a mountain to get a strong internet signal and send the requirement to their school in Manila.
Berdida can be seen sitting in front of a laptop while being lit by a friend. According to her, she has been heading to the mountains to get a strong internet signal since March 14.
It took him 30 minutes to an hour to send the said requirements to the school in Manila where she studies. “Umakyat ng bundok for finals kahit gabing-gabi na just to pass kasi ayokong ma IP or worse bumagsak,” she said.
She returned to Masbate a day before the enhanced community quarantine was declared in Metro Manila. According to Franz, she is just one of many students who continue to study despite the difficult situation these days because of COVID-19.
