John Lloyd Cruz talks about recent IG Live with Bea Alonzo
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz has this elaborate description of his movie-like Instagram Live with former onscreen partner Bea Alonzo.
Popoy and Basha are indeed well-loved by many movie fans. They are the characters of Lloydie and Bea in the movies A Second Chance and One More Chance. Just recently, they had their IG Live that felt like a reunion movie for their fans.
In that social media session, they talked about the relief efforts that Bea has been doing during the enhanced community quarantine. The actress even teased the actor about his GL or “great love” who appeared to be Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo.
John Lloyd also thanked Bea during the IG Live for being there in his life through ups and downs. That publicized conversation of the former onscreen partners trended on social media.
2 days after that, the A-list actor described elaborately the IG Live they had. In his recent Instagram post, he shared that the production who presented this is the “Unconfined Cinema” while their recent edition was titled “Love Team”.
“The Unconfined Cinema was founded on the idea of exploring what else cinema could be, freeing our stories to be told outside of the traditional spaces and conceptual boundaries set by the last century of the medium,” Lloydie explained.
Amid the quarantine, as the showbiz industry is also in halt, they found a way to their story. “‘Love Team’ is a love story – whether romantic or in its other forms – told entirely within Instagram. It is a story of our times,” he said.
As love stories occupy a large part of the Filipino cinema, the actor said that they wanted to bring the movies into the platform that is being utilized during the quarantine. “This was a story told over two weeks, adapting and evolving to real-life events, integrating our genuine sentiments over the state that we’re in,” he added.
Through this platform, they were able to tell the “story of two people reconnecting in a trying time; separated by distance, but united in their memories.”
John Lloyd Cruz included the names of people apparently included in the production.
