Truck Accident In Ilog Town, Negros Occidenttal Left With Two Fatalities

ILOG TOWN – A truck accident, which occurred at Ilog town, Negros Occidental on Tuesday morning (April 21) has left with two fatalities.

According to SunStar, the truck driver and his helper died after their truck, which was packed with boxes of fish for delivery, crashed another truck at Barangay Dancalan Highway in the said town.

They were identified as Michael Castillo, a driver and of Purok 4, Barangay 2, Hinobaan; and Nico Along, aged 18, a helper and of Sitio Batilo, Barangay Pook, Hinoba-an.

Traffic investigation reports from the local police station states that at around 7:20 AM of that day, the rear right tire of the truck, which was driven by Castillo, burst.

This caused him to lose his control of the wheel and accidentally collided with an approaching Isuzu truck with plate no. NPS 957, which was driven by Jesmilo Godinez, aged 48, and resident of Barangay 2, Ilog.

As per the report, they were taken to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
