6 VEGETABLES – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) suggested 6 vegetables that you can easily regrow indoors using kitchen scraps.

Luzon remains the hardest-hit by the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The government has released billions to address the needs of poor families during the “enhanced community quarantine.”

The Department of Agriculture (DA) encouraged all Filipinos to grow their own ‘survival garden’ amid the lockdown. The ECQ has awakened the Pinoy’s inner farmer in them.

In a previous article, we named several Filipino celebrities who are fond of gardening and farming. Among these stars are Gabby Concepcion, Mylene Dizon, Coco Martin, and Neri Naig.

Surely, lots of people were inspired to start their own gardens. Recently, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) suggested 6 vegetables that we can regrow.

DENR decided to share more ideas on how to grow veggies in our homes. The government agency shared it on their Facebook Page. They suggested 6 veggies that we can grow from kitchen scraps.

“Hi everyone! We’ve been receiving a lot of requests for seeds since our last post on Container Gardening and Indoor Composting. But did you know that there are actually many vegetables out there you can regrow from scrap even without a garden?”

“It’s fun, free, and sustainable activity, not to mention healthy and delicious too (the food you are able to grow, that is)… So check out just 6 of the many vegetables you can regrow from kitchen scraps.
