Stubborn ECQ Violators Skedaddle After Brgy. Officials Arrived

VIOLATORS – Stubborn people who still violate the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) protocols caught escaping hurriedly from officials.

Since coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) struck the Philippines, local government units immediately imposed strict safety precautionary measures as President Rodrigo Duterte place Luzon under ‘enhanced community quarantine’ and eyes to extend it for more weeks if violators still persist.

Everyone is advised to stay at home for a month or so as much as possible. On the other hand, for important matters, people are still allowed to go out. However, there are still stubborn residents who go against curfew hours and going outside even without important matters.

Recently, a Facebook page named One Cavite shared some photos of rare event where enhanced community quarantine violators skedaddling and seems having ‘patintero’, a famous game of Filipinos where players tags and run.

In the series of photos posted, the group of people can be seen running away from the officials after they were caught outside of their homes despite the lockdown and stricter implementation of ECQ.

The photos earn various reactions from the netizens as it has gone viral on social media. The photos have brought laughter to others while some are angry and express resentment, because of their refractory attitude the ECQ will be soon extended again if the confirm case still increased.

Previously, the Philippine government warned people who still defy the protocol that they will not receive any help from the government if got infected. President Duterte has reiterated the importance of staying home amid the pandemic in order to avoid getting the virus.
