Cynthia Bauzon-Arre shares the conversation she had with Howie Severino, a COVID-19 patient.

HOWIE SEVERINO – Kapuso journalist Howie Severino and Cynthia Bauzon-Arre emotional conversation while he was still confined at the hospital due to COVID-19.

COVID-19 patient 2828 is the GMA journalist Howie Severino. After recovering from the disease, he is one of the lucky persons who got recovered from the deadly disease and continue life in its normal pace amid the lockdown. But as for him, this disease is among the loneliest one “comparable to leprosy.”

And just recently, Filipino illustrator Cynthia Bauzon-Arre had a conversation with him which made them both emotional. In a Twitter thread, Bauzon-Arre shared how their conversation started. She shared that the message which touched her previously was actually from Severino, patient 2828. The message indicated that her artworks gave him comfort while being in hospital.

And when he gave her a photo of his family, she decided to draw them immediately as a gift for him. She said, “He showed me a photo of his family by the roots of a giant Dao tree in Cebu, so I drew it. After reading his articles on the GMA site about what he went through & the tests he is still undergoing in order to help with medical research, how could I not give it as a gift?”

She furthered that while illustrating, she kept on thinking about what they went through and this present have made a “grown man cry” for this gift is not for him but for his family who went through so much after what happened to him.
