‘Batman’ & ‘Superman’ Distributes Relief Goods To Residents in Baguio City
BAGUIO CITY – ‘Batman’ and ‘Superman’ were spotted distributing relief goods to the families affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus crisis.
The Philippine government has taken strict measures to halt the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Last month, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed Luzon under “enhanced community quarantine.” He recently decided to extend the ECQ following the increase of positive cases in the country.
ECQ affected the lives of the Filipino people especially the daily wage earners. Good thing, some billionaires, and celebrities offered a helping hand.
Aside from the billionaires and stars, the ordinary people are also stepping up amid the coronavirus crisis. They have their own way to bring joy and relief to their countrymen.
In a previous article, a kind-hearted man decided to wear a spider-man costume while distributing relief goods to his neighbor. His photos handing relief aid to his community earned a lot of praise from the online community.
Now, two men from Baguio City caught the attention of the netizens. A Facebook user named Neil Clark Ongchangco shared the photos of “Batman” and “Superman” in the City of Pines.
In the caption, he said the man behind the Superman costume is Jefferson Delos Santos while Rahs Garcia is the one donning the Batman costume. They save some of their income to offer some help to the less fortunate in their city.
“Jefferson Delos Santos (Superman) and Rash Garcia (Batman) residents of Baguio wore DC Character Costumes while delivering relief goods to those who are in need. They use a portion of their income from food delivery in buying more goods so that they can help out more people.”
We can all hope that the coronavirus pandemic will be over soon so we can go back to our normal lives. COVID-19 cases worldwide have reached 2 million.
