Pasig City Gives P400 Food Coupons for Public Students
PASIG CITY- The Pasig local government began Tuesday offering P400 food coupons to students of public schools in the city.
In the midst of the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pasig City local officials have decided to give food coupon to public school students. More than 130,000 students are expected to receive a P400 meal coupon each.
Schools of students who can benefit from the aid are listed on the Pasig Public Information Office Facebook page. Student’s parents can get the food coupon using the child’s school ID, library card, or birth certificate.
“Magulang ang dapat pumunta sa nakatakdang schedule ng inyong paaralan. Dalhin lang po ang ID ng estudyante. Sumunod lamang po sa itinakdang schedule. Observe social distancing,” PIO wrote,
Social distancing is strictly followed amid the distribution of the food coupons and parents also wore face masks, as health authorities strictly recommends to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a report of ABS-CBN, a local resident and a mother who received four food coupons because he had four children was pleased and grateful with the assistance. “Malaking tulong ito, lalo na sa mga anak ko, lalo na pagkain nila, dito ko ilalaan,” she told ABS-CBN.
