Arnold Clavio’s Post About COVID-19 in PH Goes Viral, DOH Denies Allegations
DOH – The Department of Health broke its silence on the viral post of Mr. Arnold Clavio over the COVID-19 deaths in the Philippines.
Currently, PH is fighting against a pandemic that caused the locking down of several nations – the COVID-19. The said coronavirus has infected more than 1.5 million people across the globe.
The global death toll has exceeded 100,000 now. In the Philippines, several measures are implemented to curb the spread of the disease.
Luzon is currently under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) amid the fight against coronavirus. It is to limit the movement of the limit to curb the spread of the infection.
The local governments in some provinces in Visayas and Mindanao also announced an ECQ in their respective areas. Everyone is advised to stay at home and to wear a mask when they are out in public for very essential purposes.
Recently, there are allegations going around the social media platforms. It was after Filipino news anchor Arnold Clavio, also called as “Igan”, posted about the alleged claim of a frontliner on the COVID-19 deaths in the Philippines.
According to Igan, a frontliner claimed that a hospital in Metro Manila was given a directive not to count the COVID-19 fatalities anymore. It went viral on social media and undeniably sparked questions.
The DOH has broken its silence on the viral post of Arnold Clavio regarding the claim of a frontliner on the COVID-19 deaths in the Philippines. The health department denied that an order to a Metro Manila hospital to stop counting the coronavirus deaths was made.
According to the health department, they have already spoken with Clavio over the matter. Also, an investigation was lodged. Here is the statement of the Department of Health:
