Group of Men Drinking Amid ECQ and Liquor Ban got Arrested
A group of men drinking liquor amid enhanced community quarantine and liquor ban got arrested after they challenge the Mayor to find them.’
Since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was implemented throughout the country to contain the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) the government also imposed liquor ban as this is the apparent reason why people are violating the law.
Violators mostly men are being arrested for violating curfew and enhanced community protocol because of drinking liquor. And because of intoxication it may lead them to disobeying and defaming authorities.
Meanwhile, a group of men in Rizal, Nueva Ecija got arrested by the authorities after they posted on Facebook a photo of them drinking and challenge the Mayor to find them as written on the caption.
Shortly thereafter, the authorities execute manhunt operation as ordered by the Mayor, according to the PNP Lovers Facebook page. They were arrested in their house where their drinking session takes place.
The suspect will face charges for defying the lockdown protocols declaring liquor ban and prohibiting mass gathering and violating Article 151 of the RPC or Resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or the agents of such person.
