There is an article in ABS-CBN News regarding the continuation of a procession of Nazarene of St. Paul in Venezuela.

Due to the name of the country, certain people addressed their anger to the Valenzuela City mayor, slamming for approving the mass event in a country in South America.

One cited comment was from a netizen named Sandra Mimi Flores who says the following:

“Grabe naman yan, Mayor Rex Gatchalian bakit pinayagan niyo magprusisyon ang Nazareno sa Valenzuela? Eh malinaw na quarantine dapat?”

In return, the mayor addressed the issue, calling out to those who slammed him.

Gatchalian wondered why everyone thought that he was the head of the country Venezuela. He then clarified that he is the mayor of the city of Valenzuela, not Venezuela.
