According to SunStar, Duterte-Carpio got reports that there ate individuals who made copies and sold the said fake passes, saying that she referred to the City Anti-Scam Unit (ASU) to initiate an entrapment operation.

The mayor added that they will be arrested immediately once spotted.

Fake passes can be identified as legitimate copies are printed in thick cards, not regular ones, she added.

Simplicio Sagarano, head of the Anti-Scam Unit said that a female individual stressed her complaint to the media after she was referred to his office for the fake FM pass. Upon contacting her, Sagarino said that she can’t be reached.

He then talked with various police stations. however, all of them said that they did not hear any reports about a fake FM pass.

As per the report, Sagarino urged complainants to instantly report to the ASU or nearby operation for an immediate action.

The passes were deployed after the city was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to a spike of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city.

Duterte-Carpio issued Executive Order 23-A, which amends pass usage now from 6 AM to 6 PM.

The passes are used to buy food, medicines or head to the hospital. Two people can be named on the pass but only one person can use it at any given time.
