Maynilad Says Free Water To 3 Converted COVID-19 Treatment Facilities

MAYNILAD – Maynilad Water Services Inc. recently announed that it will provide free water to three converted COVID-19 treatment facilities.

The said converted facilities are government facilities, according to an article from ABS-BBN News.

The facilities are the following:

  • Rizal Memorial Sports Complex
  • Philippine International Convention Center
  • World Trade Center

The water facility, owned by sports patron and businessman Manuel “Manny” V. Pangilinan, said that these have an estimate bed capacity of about 1,000. They will receive the said free service for the entire length of operations.

The government converted their owned three buildings into treatment centers in 10 days in order to ramp up its capacity for quarantine and recovery of confirmed cases, PUIs and PUMs. It is also to ease the pressure on major hospitals in the nation.

As per the report, the water company also stretched their aid to select DPWH disinfection stations, as well as frontliners by providing them free drinking water as well.
