ST LUKES – The COVID-19 frontliners at St. Lukes Medical Center (SLMC) can now get ‘free’ groceries in their “Care Store.”

The 2019 novel coronavirus frontliners are risking their lives to save the patients. Some of them haven’t been home for a while because of their duties.

In a previous article, the office of Vice President Leni Robredo collaborated with fashion designer Mich Dulce to produce more ‘personal protective equipment‘ for the health care workers. The politician and the artists’ initiative gained praise from the netizens.

Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin also have her own way of helping the heroes in this war. She decided to launch a fund-raising campaign to address the overcrowding in hospitals.

In a report, the prominent actress announced on her Instagram account that her #UniTENTweStandPH raised 3 million pesos. In her caption, she said he is also planning to distribute the tents nationwide. Her initiative will surely ease the pressure on hospitals.

Recently, St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) took to social media to announce that they now providing free groceries for their frontliners and for their families during the coronavirus crisis. It was launched in the hospital’s Global City branch.

“A project of the SLMC executives, this make-shift store aims to provide the hospital’s frontliners and their families FREE grocery items, as a token of appreciation for their hard work and selfless efforts to continuously provide patient care amid the COVID-19 crisis,” SLMC said.
