Doctor sister of Ruby Rodriguez passed away due to COVID-19
Ruby Rodriguez Doctor Sister – The Eat Bulaga host shared on her Instagram post that her older sister who was a doctor died due to COVID-19.
A few days ago, Ruby shared that she has been receiving condolences from netizens for the “death” of her sister. This came after a post of a netizen stating that Dr. Sally Gatchalian already passed away. However, the TV host/comedienne clarified that at that time, her sister was still fighting. She did not reveal what was the reason for her sister’s confinement.
On March 25, Ruby Rodriguez shared that her heartfelt post for her sister. Ruby shared her fondest memories with Dr. Sally as they frequently had their bonding moments because their other siblings are in the US. The TV host included photos with her siblings that were taken last December 2019.
“My sister, Manang sally, this is our Christmas 2019 family picture. Finally were complete. We will only remember you with Happy memories,” Ruby shared.
The comedienne/host also said that she will truly miss the happy moments they had together during their Sunday lunches, bonding trips, and the Korean drama series they were both watching.
“I love you so much my big sister (heart emojis) smile say hi to Mom Dad and manong robert. Be at peace do not worry about us anymore. Have fun in heaven! Love you so much!!!” Ruby Rodriguez said to her doctor sister.
A colleague and a friend of Dr. Sally Gatchalian also shared a tribute post for her. “I don’t mean to make twitter an obituary, but it’s one small way for me to pay tribute to them. Today, at 6 am, we lost another doctor to COVID-19, DR. SALLY GATCHALIAN; a great pediatrician, a precious sorority sister at UP medicine, a friend. May angels welcome her in heaven,” Dr. Minguita Padilla said in her post on Twitter.
