Angel Locsin Helps Distribute PPE Created by Michael Leyva
ANGEL LOCSIN – Actress Angel Locsin to help distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) created by Michael Leyva for front liners.
As of March 25, 2022, 636 Filipinos tested positive for 2019 novel coronavirus. On Tuesday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed a bill that gave him additional power to address the coronavirus threat.
The country is under a state of calamity as the frontliners fight to contain the spread of the deadly virus from China. Companies and Filipino celebrities have contributed to help the people who are affected by the quarantine.
Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin is known for being an active volunteer during a crisis. In a previous article, she and her fiance Neil Arce set up sleeping quarters for the healthcare workers.
The World Health Organization said the medical professionals and health workers are called “frontliners” because they are exposed to infected patients. Pinoy front liners continue to man the war zone in this pandemic.
Fashion designer Micahel Leyva asked the help of Angel Locsin to help the frontliners in coronavirus fight. He is one of the designers in the country who have been busy making masks, suits and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical workers.
On Wednesday, the Pinoy artist shared several photos on his Instagram account showing bags of PPEs and the prominent actress. It can be seen in the photo that each bag has a Bible verse.
In the caption of the post, he wrote: “Sent over our first sets of PPEs for our heroes frontliners with our hero Darna herself Angel Locsin. I decided to put bible verses and words of encouragement to uplift their day. Mabuhay po kayo and Maraming salamat po sa malasakit”
