Apple Accidentally Leaks Latest iPhone Upgrade Due To iOS 14

APPLE LEAKS – Apple ramped up its latest upgrade with an ambitious new feature, however, it was accidentally leaked.

Based on Apple’s very own iOS 14 and article from 9to5Mac, the world learned about the company’s plan regarding the CarKey Upgrade. Basically, it’s a key for your car which you can access through your phone.

The CarKey enables users to unlock or even share their vehicles with others through their phones. Additionally, Apple has paired up with one of the biggest names in the automobile industry – BWM.

As per the article, there were beta codes programmed within iOS 14 that made it clear that BWM was set to be its first CarKey partner. Following this, BMW didn’t even deny the claims when questioned.

Furthermore, BMW even revealed its plans to partner with the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC). Likewise, it was also revealed that CCC had already partnered with Apple.

But, here’s the kicker! CCC was also partnered with other big names such as “General Motors”, “Honda”, “Hyundai”, and “Volkswagen”. Meanwhile, LG, Panasonic, and Samsung seem to be focusing on third-party systems to fit into any car models.

However, Apple still holds a lead with its Ultra-Wideband (UWB) chip. According to the CCC, they are developing a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) based smart car key. This would be paired with Apple’s UWB and enables passive keyless access.
