After Completion 14-Day Quarantine, India Celebrates With Massive Parade
QUARANTINE COMPLETED? – Amid the coronavirus Pandemic, several countries placed residents under quarantine. But, After the completion of their 14-day quarantine, India celebrates in the streets.
In the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte implemented an enhanced community quarantine in Luzon. As such, several cities like Bacolod in Negros Occidental also followed.
Meanwhile in India, after completing its 14-day quarantine, residents took to the streets to celebrate. In a video posted by Ronit Bose Roy on Twitter, you can see hundreds of people chanting and applauding their “accomplishment”. There were even drums accompanying the parade.
Following this, several other netizens from India uploaded their own videos showing the exact same thing.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, all medical experts have urged people to adhere to social distancing measures. However, these particular individuals seem to have forgotten the virus could potentially be at large even after the quarantine.
In the middle of the streets, people were shown dancing to the beat of drums in celebration. According to some comments on Twitter, this was following India’s Prime Minister’s “suggestion” to applaud the people serving them.
However, the original author of the tweet stated:
Pm Sir didn’t suggest this bro. He said stay at home , go to your front door or balcony and applaud the people serving us which we all did. He never suggested taking to the streets.
Currently, the coronavirus pandemic has infected over 337,300 people worldwide. Furthermore, it has caused the deaths of 14,641 individuals. Furthermore, 98,627 have recovered from the virus.
