DOH Records 82 New Coronavirus Cases in PH Today
NEW CORONAVIRUS CASES – The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 82 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines today.
Since March started, the cases of coronavirus in the Philippines is going an upward trend. Undeniably, many people were alarmed but everyone is always reminded to stay calm.
Most of the first cases were recorded in Metro Manila. It prompted President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to put the entire Metro Manila under a community quarantine.
Shortly after, Pres. Duterte declared an “enhanced community quarantine” covering the entire Luzon. It limits the movement of people to prevent the spread of the disease which can rapidly happen if there are crowd gatherings.
The entire Philippines is also under a state of calamity now. The local government units (LGUs) can utilize their fund to fight COVID-19 and help their constituents.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) gave an update. Based on a post on CNN, the health department recorded 82 new coronavirus cases in the Philippines bringing the total to 462 now. The death toll is 33 and 18 have recovered from the disease.
As of this writing, there are still no further information. A press conference will be held in a while.
