The video footage of soldiers punishing a male citizen for violating the curfew policy as a part of preventive measures against coronavirus disease.
Earlier this week, President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the entire Luzon on enhanced community quarantine and declared the Philippines under a state of calamity due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter rules and regulations in every cities and municipality as a part of the lockdown protocols. The enhanced quarantine limits the movements of the residents to contain the spread of the virus.
The lockdown protocols restrict mass gatherings and mass transport. It also implements curfew in different areas prohibiting residents to roam around.
Recently, a Facebook user named John Charles Daludado has shared the video footage of two soldiers punishing a male citizen for violating the curfew policy in the area. The video spread like wildfire online garnered various reactions from netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that the soldiers ordered the law offender to perform a certain number of “pumping” exercise as his punishment for his violation. The man obediently performed the punishment.
