Pokwang, Fr. Tito Caluag To Set Up Central Kitchen Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
POKWANG – Kapamilya actress Pokwang to set up a central kitchen with Father Tito Caluag to feed the hungry amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Following a previous article, comedian Pokwang decided to help the people who are affected by the novel coronavirus crisis. Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte imposed an “enhanced community quarantine” to halt the spread of the deadly virus.
The actress offered a helping hand to the frontliners like the cops and soldiers who conduct checkpoints in Metro Manila. In a previous article, she shared photos and videos of the sacks of rice she donated for the people who depend on the informal economy.
Pokwang also slammed the bashers who said she just did it to impress. “Damned if you do damned if you dont, sa mga nakukunsensya sa mga post ko ng pagtulong and calling me papansin… problema nyo nayan! Pumikit nalang kayo at manalangin! Yan nalang sana maitutulong nyo sa bayan natin,” she said.
It seems that there are no harsh words that could stop the actress from helping people struggling to cope with the coronavirus outbreak. Pokwang gamely set up a ‘central kitchen’ with Father Tito Caluag amid the pandemic.
On Friday, March 20, Pokwang shared a screenshot of their conversation with Father Tito Caluag. She said she agreed to set up a ‘centra kitchen’ with the priest to feed the hungry amid the pandemic.
“Mamang, game ka maging ‘central kitchen’ to cook meals for poor families? We will provide ingredients. Where are you located?” said Caluag.
The Banana Sundae star responded: “Game po ako kaya lang sa Antipolo po ako. Okay lang po?”
