An update about the 1st coronavirus patient in Cebu recently crossed the surface. Based on a report on Philstar, the DOH Region 7 head relayed that the 65-year-old man is now recovering.

According to Health Director Jaime Bernadas, the man is now about to be discharged. Based on the report, he is hopeful that the patient can share his experience with the people.

It was last March 11 when the 65-year-old man was tested for coronavirus. He was already a patient under investigation (PUI). He has no recent travel abroad but he had trips in the different cities in Mindanao and in Manila.

According to Bernadas, though the patient is now asymptomatic, a second test will be conducted. The same protocol will be observed and the people he had a contact with since he became a PUI will be traced.
